Case Study: Softwash Roof Cleaning

THE CHALLENGE

Earlier this year, Argo Clean were approached by a local resident who was looking to avail of our roof cleaning services. After our initial inspection, it was clear that this roof has developed a carpet of moss over the years and the client was looking for a safe and environmentally friendly way of cleaning the roof.

When looking at an ageing building, few people cast a critical eye at the state of the roof. The windows are clean, the garden tidy and the interior spotless, but the roof is almost invariably unkempt. Black molds hide its colour and moss slowly mats itself in the bonds, so slowly that few take notice.

OUR PROCESS

STAGE ONE: Our approach is, firstly, to check the entire roof surface for damage and any necessary repairs are referred to the client.
STAGE 2: All, or up to 90% of moss and other growths are removed by hand to prevent guttering and down pipes from blockages. These are then bagged and removed from site.
STAGE 3: The roof surface is then treated using our specially developed AlgoClear®Pro Softwash formula to ensure any remaining spores die off and their reproductive cycle broken ensuring longevity of results.
STAGE 4: All guttering and fascia are cleaned and a full site clean-up takes place.

THE RESULT

After completing our Softwash Roof Cleaning process, our clients roof was sparkling once again. Any sign of moss, algae and other growths had completely disappeared.
